"When JJ says stay hydrated, take your electrolytes and get your sleep, do it! It does really matter. I make much better decisions when I have proper sleep and the hunger and feeling tired can usually be reduced by staying hydrated and consistent on electrolytes."

"Improvements in my life have been: Better sleep, calmer, I can think more clearly. Also, my clothes are a lot looser – so much so I had to buy new clothes!"

"I was in a size 42 and now I’m in a size 34 pants. I was XL, now I can fit into a Medium, even though I still wear some larges. I have lost 60 pounds. I have the attitude and feeling that I can do anything, but probably the biggest thing for me is to know what I can eat and what I can’t and how my body reacts. I have learned how to keep myself on track and consistent. I weigh myself every morning and not because I have to, but because I don’t want my weight to get away from me again. "As far as weight goes, I am a little over have way through this journey, and so I still have work to do. But, I can feel continued healing each and every day from the autoimmune diseases that I have had for several years, and that is something that is priceless! I never imaged my life would include intermittent fasting or a keto lifestyle. Heck, I enjoyed sweets, carbs, pizza, fast-food, and cooking bad food too much. But, those “things” did not help my system, they did not make me happy, and so why did I allow them such a high level of importance on my hierarchy of life? They didn’t deserve a place on that hierarchy at all! For my life, it’s God, my family (biological and spiritual), my dog, my friends, and all of God’s living creation…bad food doesn’t fit in anymore!"

"To date, I have lost 26 lbs, which is wonderful, but the greatest gift has to be my renewed mindset. In being completely transparent, I want you to know that I am definitely human, and there are moments that I want something unhealthy to eat. But, at the very beginning of this journey, I set up an album for each of the scale and food photos that I would send to JJ. So, when I want to “cheat” and eat something unhealthy I browse through those images, and I see the daily progress and growth I have made in just 8 weeks. It is the encouragement I need to keep moving forward."
